Simple Heirloom Tomato Salad

Ingredients

Heirloom tomatoes (mixed colors look best)

Onion (thinly sliced—red onion)

Extra virgin olive oil

Balsamic glaze

Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper

 

The Prep

1. Slice the tomatoes

Cut the heirloom tomatoes into thick wedges or slices (about 1/2-inch thick).

2. Slice the onions

3. Layer and season

Arrange the tomato slices and onions on a large platter

4. Dress and serve

Drizzle a generous amount of good quality olive oil over the top, drizzle the rich balsamic glaze. Serve
